Automotive Solutions
Blue Arc has a lot of automotive manufacturing experience. Our clients rely on us for a variety of innovative, unique solutions to help them streamline their operations and make them more efficient. The types of material handling equipment we provide for the automotive industry varies, but the common thread is they present us a problem and it is up to our engineering team to come up with creative solutions to those problems. Here are a few highlighted projects we successfully implemented.

Automotive Plant Assembly Line Conveyors
A lineside delivery system we required for an automotive assembly plant. A host of different systems to deliver parts – heater cores, dashboard assemblies, mufflers, etc. – was produced by BlueArc to do these functions.

Seat Pusher
In material handling, the product to be conveyed typically has a flat, continuous bottom which makes it more manageable for automation. In the case of a car seat that is not yet on a slave pallet, that is not the case. This pusher will do a ninety degree transfer from one belt conveyor to another.

Seat Pallet Dispenser
Seats are typically sent to the customer, a car assembly plant, on custom pallets that must be returned back to the seat plant. These pallets return in stacks of six that must be destacked to enter back into the manufacturing system.

Assembly Pallet Unloader
A different pallet is often used during the assembly process than what is shipped the customer. This machine picks up the seat from the assembly pallet and transitions it to the shipping pallet.

Low Profile Truck Unloading Conveyors
Seat plants typically utilize automated truck unloading and loading conveyors. This eliminates the need for forktrucks, thereby improving efficiency.

Shot Blast Remover - Wheel Flipper
During the manufacturing process of aluminum wheels, they are subjected to a shot blast process. Some of this fine shot is trapped in the recesses of the top of the wheels. The customer needed a fast and efficient method of removing this shot.

Wheel Vertical Lift
Blue Arc Engineering has made several styles of lifts to vertically raise or lower wheels to different conveyor elevations. Typically the wheel delivery conveyors will run overhead to free up floor space, so the vertical lifts are used to get wheels into and out of manufacturing processes such as machining, shot blast, buffer storage, etc.
Wheel Centering Device
The centering device we have developed utilizes simple mechanical principles to center different diameter and weight wheels on the same conveyor line.

Automated Spare Tire Inserter
This project was part of a truck assembly line in which they needed the spare tire to pivot in behind the pickup as it was going down the assembly line.
